McKENZIE, Tenn. – The #7 University of Tennessee Southern women's soccer team came up short on the road dropping a 2-nil decision to Bethel.
Bethel (3-0) controlled the first half outshooting the Firehawks 6-1. The Wildcats put all six shots in the half on goal, but the Firehawks kept the score knotted at zero.
In the second half, UT Southern (2-1-1) would outshoot the Wildcats recording six shots. In the 57th minute, Bethel snuck one past the Firehawk keeper to take the late lead 1-nil. In the final two minutes, BU would add another goal. Bethel led 11-7 in shots and shots on goal 10-2.
Petra Brncova (0-1) recorded eight saves in the match.
