PULASKI, Tenn. - The University of Tennessee Southern men's soccer team closed out the regular season with a home crowd pleasing 5-2 win over Blue Mountain Christian on Saturday. The Firehawks await a final SSAC match up between Life and Brewton-Parker being played on Monday to learn their seeding for the SSAC Championship.
In the first half, Blue Mountain Christian took the early lead scoring in the 21
st minute. The Firehawks answered back with four first half goals to lead at the half. In the 22
nd minute,
Manuel Flores finished the
Manuel Silva pass to level the match at one. Silva would put the Firehawks in the lead from the
Lorick Gustave lag. Two minutes later, Flores netted his 16
th score of the year on the
Mak Binder pass. The pair would swap roles for the next goal as Binder would finish the Flores pass. Both squads were tied in shots at 11 each after 45 minutes.
In the final half, the Firehawks added another goal to lead 5-1. In the 49th minute,
Carlos Galan banked one off the back post on a bullet pass from Binder. Later in the half the Toppers added another goal. BMC led the shot count 16-13 and in shots on target 8-7.
Louis Hester (2-3-1) recorded six saves and allowed two goals in a full time effort.

The Firehawks will travel for the SSAC Championship Quarterfinal next week hosted by the higher seed. The seedings will be dependent to the result of the Life/Brewton-Parker match to be played on Monday, October 28
th.
