MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The University of Tennessee Southern men's soccer team battles the number one seed, #3 Mobile Rams in the Southern States Athletic Conference Championship semifinal on Thursday. The Firehawks were the early aggressors, having numerous shots on frame, but the Rams took an early 1-nil lead. The Firehawks continued to press the #3 team in the land to only trail by one at the break. UM led the shot count 10-4 in the first half.
In the final half, the Rams scored three goals to defeat the Firehawks. UTS trailed in the final shot count 16-8, as well as shots on target 8-3.
Michael Anderson, reigning SSAC Defender of the Week, recorded four saves allowing four goals in a full time effort.
