MONTGOMERY, Ala. – UT Southern dominated the conference honors this week, sweeping the SSAC Men's and Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week awards. Sophomore Bruno Villazon earned the men's honor, while freshman Linah Ewoi claimed the women's accolade. The awards were based on performances during the week of Aug. 25–31.

Bruno Villazon (SO – Santander City, Spain)

• Secured his seventh career SSAC Runner of the Week recognition

• Finished 7th overall out of 175 runners at the 8K JSU Foothills Invite

• Recorded an impressive time of 15:07

Linah Ewoi (FR – Kitale, Kenya)

• Earned her first career SSAC Runner of the Week honor

• Placed 32nd overall out of 178 runners at the 5K JSU Foothills Classic

• Posted a time of 19:07 against a highly competitive NCAA field
