MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Millie Rayner of UT Southern has been named the Southern States Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.

The honor marks the third weekly award of Rayner's career and her second consecutive SSAC Offensive Player of the Week selection after another standout performance for the Firehawks.

Rayner helped lead UT Southern to a 2-0 week, totaling four goals as the Firehawks improved to 7-1-1 overall and remained undefeated in conference play with a 5-0 record.

The sophomore from High Halstow, England, opened the week by scoring a crucial goal in UT Southern's 3-2 victory over No. 12 Lindsey Wilson. The win served as one of the Firehawks' biggest victories of the season and added another chapter to a matchup between two perennial NAIA powerhouse programs.

Rayner followed that performance with a hat trick in UT Southern's 9-1 conference victory over Blue Mountain Christian. She scored three times in the second half, including a pair of penalty kicks, as the Firehawks rallied from an early deficit to score nine unanswered goals.

The latest conference honor comes one week after Rayner earned both SSAC Offensive Player of the Week and NAIA Offensive Player of the Week recognition following an incredible 11-goal, four-assist stretch against Wesleyan and Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.

By claiming this week's award, Rayner successfully defended her SSAC Offensive Player of the Week honor and became the first Firehawk this season to earn the conference's offensive award in consecutive weeks.

Rayner continues to rank among the NAIA's most dangerous attacking players and has played a major role in UT Southern's recent surge. Her performances have helped propel the Firehawks to seven consecutive matches without a loss and keep the program near the top of the conference standings.

Rayner joins Sam De Gier, Courtney Hicks, and Kamilia Tayebi as Firehawks who have earned SSAC weekly honors during the 2026 campaign.

UT Southern returns to action Thursday when the Firehawks travel to Thomas University for another Southern States Athletic Conference matchup.
