The University of Tennessee Southern

NaKiya Mostella begins her first season as assistant cheer coach at the University of Tennessee Southern in 2025–26, returning to the program after a decorated collegiate career. A May 2025 graduate, Mostella proudly joins the Firehawk alumni family and brings a championship mindset, deep passion, and proven leadership into her new role.

During her time as a student-athlete, Mostella earned First Team All-Conference honors three times (2021–22, 2023–24, 2024–25) and was named a First Team All-American in both 2023–24 and 2024–25. She was also recognized as the 2024–25 Southern States Athletic Conference Athlete of the Year—one of the highest individual honors in the league.

Mostella’s accomplishments reflect her unwavering commitment, drive, and love for the sport. Now on the sidelines in a new capacity, she looks forward to mentoring the next generation of Firehawk cheerleaders with the same energy and dedication that defined her time on the mat.
