Ty Rose serves as the Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Tennessee Southern, bringing over a decade of experience in sports performance training, athlete development, and injury prevention.
A native of Lynnville, Tennessee, Rose is deeply rooted in the Giles County community. He graduated from Richland High School in 2017, where he was a four-sport athlete, gaining a well-rounded and competitive perspective that continues to shape his training philosophy today.
Rose earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from UT Southern in 2021, returning to his alma mater to help develop the next generation of Firehawk student-athletes. His professional background includes 10 years of sports and personal training experience, along with two years of work in physical therapy settings, further enhancing his expertise in injury prevention and rehabilitation-focused performance.
He holds multiple industry certifications, including Certified Personal Trainer (CPT), Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCC), Certified Corrective Exercise Coach, and Certified Nutritionist. Rose is also the founder of a youth sports performance school in Pulaski, where he has worked extensively with athletes of all ages to improve strength, speed, and sport-specific skills.
Throughout his career, Rose has emphasized a holistic approach to training, focusing not only on performance gains but also on long-term athlete health, durability, and proper movement mechanics. His passion for helping athletes reach their full potential is evident in both his professional work and community involvement.
At UT Southern, Rose oversees strength and conditioning programming for all athletic teams, designing and implementing comprehensive training plans tailored to the needs of each sport.
