MAYFIELD, Ky. - Vitor Gazza of Martin Methodist College has been named the TranSouth's men's soccer offensive and defensive players of the week, respectively, for the week ending October 30, 2011. The award marks Gazza's first of the year.
Gazza, a 6-foot freshman from Sao Paulo, Brazil, netted five goals and tallied an assist in two matches on the week. Gazza scored twice on the road at NAIA No. 10 Bethel University, before tallying his hat trick against Tennessee Temple. His eight goals on the season lead a Martin Methodist attack that claimed the TranSouth's runner-up position in the regular season.
MMC finishes their regular season on Tuesday night, November 1st, hosting No. 1 Lindsey Wilson College at the East Campus, kick off slated for 7pm.
