Box Score HENDERSON, Tenn. – The Martin Methodist Volleyball team picked up its third win in its last four matches Tuesday night with a straight-set victory at Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.).
The win kept the momentum rolling for the RedHawks (3-6), who have now rattled off three wins in their last four contests, with the lone defeat coming at Xavier (La.), a squad now receiving votes in the NAIA Women's Volleyball Coaches' Top 25 Poll.
The RedHawks racked up the victory with a 25-20, 25-13 and 25-21 scoreline versus their former TranSouth Athletic Conference rival.
Sabrie Sirmones led the RedHawks with an impressive 15 kills in just three sets of action. The senior converted 15-of-28 attempts for a .393 attack percentage. No other RedHawk finished with more than five kills on the night.
Sydney Arnold, who surpassed 2,000 career assists earlier this season, handed out 32 helpers in Tuesday night's victory.
Defensively, Bobbi Anduha and Hayley Brisendine, who posted nine and eight digs apiece, led the RedHawks.
The win capped the week of action for the RedHawks, who will get prepared for their home opener versus SSAC newcomer, Florida College, on Friday, Sept. 14.
