Columbia, Ky. - The UTS volleyball team fell to (17-8, MSC 4-6) to the No. 16 Lindsey Wilson Blue Raiders. 

The Firehawks dropped the MSC match 25-18, 25-15, 26-19. The Firehawks hit just .134 in three sets, recording 31 kills with 18 attack errors. Brianna Turner led the way with 10 kills followed by Maca Ruiz with 8. 

Fernanda Orsi totaled 17 assist. Summer Jackson finished with a team high 7 digs. 

LWC totaled 44 kills while hitting .415 on the match. The Blue Raiders hit .565 in the final set.

Coach Jackson Lenoir commented on the loss, "Tough loss tonight against a very tough Lindsey Wilson squad. We got off to slow starts in the first two sets and kept playing catchup, which you cant do against a good teams. Despite missing a couple of people in our lineup tonight, I thought we did a good job on the service line and battled. We will regroup and prepare for a competitive matchup versus Bethel this weekend."

The Firehawks return to the CAC for senior day to face rival Bethel University on Saturday. First serve is scheduled for 4pm.
