Box Score Pulaski, Tenn. - UTS men's soccer defeated MSC foe Thomas More 4-1 Saturday evening.
The Firehawks (7-7, 4-4 MSC) scored three first half goals. Manuel Otero got the Firehawks on the board in the 11th minute from the boot of Alejandro Blanco. Kenshin Yasushima added another goal in the 39th minute from the helper of Mario Lopez. Lopez would strike on an unassisted play to give the Firehawks a 3-0 lead at the half. UTS outshoot the Saints 7-5 at the half.
Blanco would add an early second half goal from Lopez in the 66th minute. Ajay Murray would record 77+ minutes of scoreless defense. Sam Walters would scratch for Thomas More in the 89th minute on a set piece. TMU would outshoot UTS 9-8 in the match.
Coach Brian Davies commented on the win, "It was nice to see the men have a dominate performance after two unlucky results in the past week. We did an excellent job creating many chances and scored some quality goals. We are looking forward to next week and preparing for a strong finish down the final stretch of the regular season. "
