Columbia, Ky. - UTS men's soccer defeated #12 Lindsey Wilson 3-1 on Tuesday night.

The Firehawks (8-7, 5-4 MSC) scored the first three goals in the match. Manuel Santos got the Firehawks on the board in the 24th minute from the boot of Manuel Otero. Mario Lopez would add another first half goal from Santos in the 44th minute. UTS would lead in shots 8-6. 

Otero would fire one home in the 65th minute. Anouar Adam would break the goose egg for LWC in the 66th minute from Cyrus Harmon. Ajay Murray would record three saves on four shots on goal. UTS would outshoot the Blue Raiders 13-12.  

Coach Brian Davies commented on the win, "I am ecstatic for our boys. We came into tonight knowing we could compete with well coached Blue Raider team. Our boys were not intimidated in any way, shape, form or fashion. I thought we controlled the midfield well and Ajay was a rock for us tonight with three big saves. We have another huge matchup Saturday against a tough top 25 team in Campbellsville. We will rest and rejuvenate for the match."
