Henderson, Tenn. - The University of Tennenssee Southern volleyball team defeated Freed-Hardeman University (7-14, 1-11 MSC) tonight 25-17, 25-14, 21-25, 25-21.

The Firehawks (19-8, 6-6 MSC) were lead by Maca Ruiz with 14 kills, Brianna Turner added 13. Fernanda Orsi had 22 assists and 9 digs. Summer Jackson added 18 digs for the Firehawks. 

Coach Jackson Lenoir commented the win, "Another good Mid-South win tonight for our team! We came out strong the first two sets and then lost a little focus in the third set, but we finished strong! We must now get ready for a tough Cumberland squad on Friday."

The Firehawks will travel to Lebanon, Tenn. to face Cumberland on Friday, October 22nd. First serve is set to begin at 7 p.m.
