Waleska, Ga. - The University of Tennessee Southern Volleyball team swept Reinhardt and Montreat today. 

UTS vs Montreat

The Firehawks dispatched the Cavaliers 22-25, 25-22, 25-8, 25-15. Brianna Turner had a double double with 19 kills and 11 digs. Maca Ruiz added 18 kills, and Kara Nelms contributed 11 kills. Laura Howell recorded a double double as well with 38 assists and 11 digs. Summer Jackson notched 22 digs. The Firehawks out hit the Cavaliers .265 to .083.

UTS vs Reinhardt

UTS clipped the Eagles in three sets 25-17, 25-22, 25-19. Ruiz led with 18 kills. Laura Howell had 21 assists, and Olivia Cox added 11 helpers. Samantha Kilian had 11 digs. The Firehawks smashed the eagles in hitting percentage .223-.107.

Coach Jackson Lenoir commented on the win, "We got off to a slow start to the day, but proud of our girls for finishing the rest of the day strong! Happy we could focus in and get two wins. We must now prepare for next weekend with two big conference matches."
