Box Score Pulaski, Tenn. - The Tennenssee Southern volleyball team won their fourth straight match defeating Pikeville 25-21, 25-19, 25-16 Friday afternoon.
The Firehawks (16-7, 3-5 MSC) held the Bears (1-17, 0-7 MSC) to only 23 kills in the match. Maca Ruiz led the team offensively with 14 kills on 30 attempts. Laura Howell recorded 36 assists. Summer Jackson added 22 digs for the Firehawks.
Coach Jackson Lenoir commented on the win, "Any win in the Mid-South is a big win! Proud of our team for coming through in spite of missing a couple of players tonight. We will have to cut down on some errors going into tomorrow's match and must be ready to battle against a tough Cumberlands Team."
