McKenzie, Tenn. - In a defensive slugfest, the University of Tennessee Southern Firehawks fall to Bethel 2-1.

The Firehawks hung tough with the #4 seed Wildcats(13-5-1) giving up a goal in each half. Pascal Mohungsi broke the goose egg in the in the 38th minute from the Callum McKenna assist. Bethel led in shots 7-3 at the half.

UTS(10-9) answered back in the 73rd minute, when Tiago Lopes scored the equalizer from the well placed corner kick of Mario Lopez. Bethel would score on a set piece with just under two minutes remaining. Mohungsi would play a good ball into the box that would ultimately break the Firehawk hearts. Bethel would outshoot the Firehawks 12-10.
