Box Score Huntsville, Ala. - The University of Tennessee Southern women's basketball team set the nets on fire in a 90-56 win over Oakwood University.
UTS shot over 50 percent in the first three quarters, 55.8 percent combined, to cruise to their second win of the season. The Firehawks outrebounded the home team 39-29 and had one more turnover than the Ambassadors.
Faith Sherrow led all scorers with 20 points. Three other Firehawks reached double figures: Aaryn Grace Lester and Keonna Chumbley added 13 each, while Savannah Walker pitched in 12.
Walker and Chumbley controlled the boards for the Firehawks ripping down 7 apiece.
"We played well in a tough environment tonight," said Coach Billy Evans. "Almost half our squad reached double figures tonight. It was great for our players to get some quality minutes before we begin conference play on the 18th."

The Firehawks will travel to Portsmouth, Ohio to face the Bears of Shawnee State. Tip-off is set for 5pm on November 18th.
