Box Score 2 BOWLING GREEN, Ky - The Mid-South Conference announced its 2021 volleyball All-MSC teams and individual honors on Wednesday, including four MMC selections.
Fourteen players were selected to both the first and second all-conference teams with nine earning honorable mention.
The RedHawks were represented on the All-MSC First Team by Brianna Turner (JR/Huntsville, Ala.), who is MMC's best hitter this season with a .265 clip. The junior has collected 189 kills, and tallied 33 blocks on the season.
Rebecka Cronin (SR/Evansville, Wisc.) was named to the Second Team as the RedHawks' team leader with 216 total kills and best server with 32 service aces. MMC rounded out their awards with Kaitlyn Lund (JR/Birmingham, Ala.) and Fernanda Orsi (SR/Belo Horizonte, Brazil) on the Honorable Mention team. Lund with 132 kills offensively, is a big presence at the net for MMC, with a team-high 69 total blocks, while Orsi collected 470 assists as MMC's primary setter this season.
The RedHawks took down University of Pikeville in the first round of the MSC Tournament on Thursday morning, 3-0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-12), and will face University of Campbellsville at 3pm.
