Eagles Outlast Firehawks

Box Score

Pulaski, Tenn. - The UTS Men's soccer team dropped to 2-4, 0-1 MSC falling 3-1 to Life Tuesday evening.

The Firehawks got out in front early but Life scored three unanswered goals Tuesday to escape Grissom Pitch with a win. Forward Tiago Lopes scored in the 50th minute.

Goalkeeper Ajay Murray played a full 90 minutes for the Firehawks and did not allow a goal until the 58th minute. The Runnin' Eagles three goals all came in the 2nd half.

The Firehawks were outshot 15-10.

Coach Brian Davies commented on the loss, "In tough field conditions, I thought the men played well tonight. We played well enough to win but just came up short. We couldn't cash in on opportunities to go up two-nil. We made too many mental errors tonight, and Life capitalized on them. I am proud of our guys, and I thought they played with grit and toughness. We will be ready for the Patriots on Saturday."
