COCHRAN, Ga. - The University of Tennessee Southern men's soccer team started a Central Georgia tour traveling to battle Middle Georgia State. The Firehawks blanked the Knights 4-nil on Thursday.
In the first half, the Firehawks netted three first half goals enroute to the clean sheet win.
Manuel Flores finished the
Carlos Galan pass to put the Firehawks on top 1-nil. In the 23
rd minute, Flores netted his second two pointer of the match on the
Tayte Aldridge lag. One minute later, Aldridge made it 3-nil on the unassisted score. UTS led in shots at the break 10-0.
In the final half, the Firehawks added one more goal to the final tally. Galan terminated the Flores pass in the 57
th minute. UTS out shot the Knights 18-4 and led 9-1 in shots on goal.
Michael Anderson (7-1) recored one save and did not face a shot in the clean sheet.

The Firehawks will travel to Mt. Vernon, Ga., to battle Brewton-Parker on Saturday, October 12
th. The Firehawks and Barons will clash at 3 p.m.
