MARIETTA, Ga. - The University of Tennessee Southern women's soccer team silenced the crowed at Lupo Family Field scoring a 3-nil victory over #6 Life on Wednesday.
In the first half, the Firehawks netted two scores to lead at the half. In the 17
th minute,
Keito Ido scored the game winner on the assist from
Hikaru Uchida. Five minutes later, UT Southern extended the lead on the
Jessica Glassman score from
Nao Katamoto. UTS led in shots at the break 13-1 and 6-0 in shots on goal.
In the final half, the Firehawks added one more goal to the tally. Katamoto broke free and scored in the 84
th minute to max out the goal differential. UTS outshot Life 23-4 and led 10-2 in shots on goal.
Stephanie Hodgson (5-0-1) recorded two saves in the clean sheet win.
