MARIETTA, Ga. - The University of Tennessee Southern men's soccer team fell victim to a late goal by Life resulting in a 3-2 loss on Wednesday.
In the first half, the Firehawks trailed after Life netted a goal in the sixth minute. two scores to lead at the half. The Firehawks had many chances in the opening 45 but couldn't find the net. UTS led in shots at the break 16-10 and 7-2 in shots on goal.
In the final half, the Firehawks would tie the match on an early goal by
Lorick Gustave from the assist by
Carlos Galan. Life would retake the lead in the 64
th minute. With under seven minutes left, Galan would level the score. With the game heading to a full time draw, the home squad netted a game winner with under two minutes left. UTS outshot Life 23-18 and led 12-5 in shots on goal.
Michael Anderson (7-2) recorded two saves allowing three goals.
