THOMASVILLE, Ga. - The University of Tennessee Southern men's soccer team closed out the regular season road schedule with a matchup with Thomas on Thursday. The Firehawks fell 4-nil to the Nighthawks.
In the first half, the match began as a both defenses strangled the opposing offensive units. In the 25
th minute, a Firehawk foul gave the Nighthawks a penalty kick that proved to be the game winner. The Firehawks tried to level the match, but before the break TU added another goal to lead. TU led 17-6 in shots at the break.
In the final half, the Nighthawks added two more scores to put the match out of reach.
Louis Hester recorded eight saves allowing four goals. TU outshot UTS 26-11 and led 12-2 in shots on goal.
