PULASKI, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee Southern men's basketball opened the 2024-25 season hosting Oakwood at the Curry Athletic Complex on Tuesday. The Firehawks controlled the boards to defeat the Ambassadors 77-63 earning Coach
Andy Sharpe his 129th win at UT Southern.
Four Firehawks scored in double figures with
Vito Vujovic leading the charge with 21 points and 16 rebounds.
Mike Bell, Jr. added 19 points.
Mark Vance pulled down 16 rebounds and threw in 11 points.
Eric Robinson contributed 10 points in the win.
The Firehawks connected on six triples but out shot OU 70.4 to 50 percent at the charity stripe.
BY THE NUMBERS

52 – UTS controlled the boards out rebounding the Ambassadors 52-28
