MARIETTA, Ga. – The University of Tennessee Southern volleyball team dropped their fourth road match in a row falling short in three to Life on Saturday.
UT Southern (5-10,) fell behind early in the first set 3-8, but the Firehawks charged back to take their first lead at 10-9 halfway through the first set. Both teams would trade the lead and LU led 20-17 late in the opening set. The Runnin' Eagles claimed six of the final nine points to lead one set to none.
The Firehawks took the early lead in the second set, but Life used two big runs to outscore the Firehawks 23-13 to take a two set lead.
UT Southern took the early lead once again in the final set working up a six to three lead. LU charged back to lead 14-11. Down the stretch, there would be six ties with the last occurrence happening at 23 all. The home team would run off the final two points to sweep UT Southern.

The Firehawks will conclude the long road trip with a visit to McKenzie, Tenn., to battle rival Bethel on Tuesday, October 15th. First serve in Crisp Arena is set for six p.m.
