PULASKI, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee Southern volleyball team played their final home match of the regular season hosting Oakwood for Senior night on Saturday. The Firehawks won 25-12, 25-16, and 25-21. UT Southern celebrated seniors
Laura Howell,
Hannah Oliver, and
Sophia Ortega. Howell eclipsed 3,000 career assists at UTS last weekend and is the second setter to pass that mark since 2005. Ortega also passed 1,000 career kills.
Ortega and
Morgan Avrit led the offensive attack with 12 kills each. Ortega completed a double double with 10 digs. Howell recorded 31 assists bringing her career total to 3,040. Oliver gathered 14 digs in the win. Oliver currently has 850 career digs and is pressing toward 1,000 digs.

The Firehawks will close out the regular season next week traveling to Blue Mountain Christian on Friday, November 8
th, battling Blue Mountain Christian. First serve between the Toppers and Firehawks is set for six p.m.
