HENDERSON, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee Southern men's basketball played former TranSouth Athletic Conference rival #4 the Freed-Hardeman University of the on Thursday. The Firehawks got out to a hot start and the early lead, but the Lions quickly settled in and began to disrupt the Firehawks. UTS trailed at the break 42-26 from a 16-3 half ending run for the home team.
Two Firehawks scored in double figures. Vito Vujovic led the team in gray with 20 points, four rebounds, and four steals. Mark Vance added 17 points and four boards. Kiah Key led UTS in rebounds with eight.
