Game Recap: #10 Women's Soccer |

P-Town Prize Fight Ends in Draw Between No. 5 Firehawks and No. 3 Crusaders

PULASKI, Tenn. - The University of Tennessee Southern women's soccer team began Southern States Athletic Conference play against #3 William Carey on Thursday. Both squads scored a pair in the 2-2 tie.
In the first half, the Firehawks scored in the seventh minute when 2021 NAIA leading goal scorer Keito Ido finished the Nao Katamoto pass. WCU would net their first of two in the match in the 12th minute. UT Southern would net another first half goal when Maclani Michael beat the Carey keeper from the Jessica Glassman lag. UTS would lead in shots 10-8 at the half.
In the final half, the Crusaders scored the leveler in the 54th minute. Down the stretch the visitors would shower UTS keeper Stephanie Hodgson with shot attempts. WCU would lead in shots 17-16 and UTS would lead 8-5 in shots on target.
Hodgson (0-0-1) recorded three saves.
