Uchida Nets Three, No. 5 Firehawks Overpower Rams in Southern States Athletic Conference Rout

PULASKI, Tenn. - The University of Tennessee Southern women's soccer team notched their first Southern States Athletic Conference win blitzing the University of Mobile 7-1 on Saturday. Both teams combined for seven goals in the opening half with the Firehawks netting six.
In the first half, the Firehawks struck twice in the seventh minute to lead 2-nil. Keito Ido netted the first goal of the match from the Jessica Glassman lag. Less than a minute later, Hikaru Uchida beat the Ram keeper from the Marina Nawa pass. In the 20th minute, Kamilia Tayebi dialed up a two-pointer off the double helper from Nawa and Nao Katamoto. A UTS foul just outside of the box, set up UM for a set piece score from 20 yds out. UT Southern would tack on three more goals heading to the half.
