COLUMBIA, Ky. – The University of Tennessee Southern swimming squads began their spring schedule with a dual meet against Lindsey Wilson an Asbury over the weekend. The men's team fell 201-44 against Lindsey Wilson and 111-93 to Asbury.The women's team also suffered defeat 184-50 with LWC and 160-74 to AU.
UTS had success in a couple of events. Alli Wells won the 500 freestyle and took second in the 100 backstroke. Kelsey Shand finished second in both the 100 and 200 breaststroke. Michael McDaniel earned a second place finish in the 500 freestyle and third in the 200 freestyle. Logan Jones earned a pair of podium finishes including a second in the 100 backstroke and a third in the 100 butterfly.
