MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The UT Southern men's soccer team earned a hard-fought 1-1 draw on the road Saturday evening against Faulkner University in Southern States Athletic Conference play.

After a scoreless first half, Faulkner broke through early in the second before the Firehawks leveled the match just over ten minutes later when a Faulkner own goal in the 63rd minute tied the contest at 1-1 — a scoreline that held through full time.

• Louis Hester anchored the defense with eight saves in goal, matching his opponent save-for-save to preserve the draw.

• Riley Barratt and Daquan Duhaney each registered two shots on goal to lead the attack.

• Felix Hammel, Hector Garcia, and Luke McMahon each added a shot on frame as the Firehawks outshot Faulkner in the opening half.

• The Firehawks' defensive unit, including Matthaus Mayrhofer, Filippo Fregoli, and Benjamin Chretien, limited Faulkner to one goal despite a late offensive surge.
