PULASKI, Tenn. - After a scoreless first half, the No. 25 UT Southern women's soccer team erupted for four second-half goals to earn a 4–1 victory over Point Thursday evening at Grissom Pitch.
The Firehawks dominated possession and offensive opportunities throughout, outshooting the visitors 40–3 and holding an 18–1 advantage in corner kicks.
Despite controlling the tempo early, UT Southern couldn't find the back of the net in the opening 45 minutes. The Firehawks tallied 20 shots and six corners in the first half, while Point was limited to zero shots.

Point briefly took the lead in the 47th minute on an unassisted goal, but from there, it was all Firehawks.

Mia Saum netted the equalizer in the 55th minute off a feed from Osiris Rodriguez.

Kamilia Tayebi gave UTS the lead in the 71st minute, assisted by Hikaru Uchida.

Just two minutes later, Saum struck again for her second of the night, assisted by Karla Montiel.

Tayebi capped the scoring in the 87th minute, converting on another assist from Rodriguez.
UT Southern's backline limited Point to just three shots (three on goal) all match, with goalkeeper Stephanie Hodgson making two saves in the win.
