JACKSON, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee Southern baseball team closed SSAC Championship pool play at Rockabillys Stadium on Saturday evening. The eighth seed Firehawks contested the sixth seed Toppers. UT Southern came up short falling 11-0 in seven innings.
BMCU scored runs in the first, second, and fourth.
The Firehawks put up six hits in the game and stranded 10 runners on the basepaths.
Cannon Raby and
Coleman Siniard led UTS with two hits each.
Devin Buckhalter and
Mason Billions accounted for the other pair.
Chambers McGilberry (4-6) tossed 1.2 innings allowing four earned runs.
Danton Rinehart 1.1 innings allowing two earned runs.
Austin Uptain tossed the fourth, allowing two earned runs.
Cooper Bailey tossed two innings without allowing a hit.
Jackson Moon allowed one hit in the seventh.
