MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Southern States Athletic Conference announced its weekly golf honors, and UT Southern's Iona Pollitt was named SSAC Women's Golfer of the Week for her performance during the week of September 8–14.

Pollitt, a senior from San Fulgencio, Spain, earned her eighth career Golfer of the Week recognition after a strong showing at the Bob Rohrman Classic. She battled through a challenging opening round to close with back-to-back solid scores, finishing 12th individually in the tournament. Pollitt carded a three-round total of 243 (+27), with rounds of 91, 77, and 75, showcasing her ability to settle in and finish the event on a high note.

This honor adds to an already decorated career for Pollitt as she continues to be a consistent leader for the Firehawks on the course.
