MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Southern States Athletic Conference announced the 2025 SSAC Women's Cross Country Scholar-Athlete Team and Scholar-Athlete of the Year, with UT Southern's Emma Vizina earning a spot among the conference's top academic and competitive performers.
Vizina was one of eight student-athletes named to the SSAC Women's Cross Country Scholar-Athlete Team following a strong season both in the classroom and on the course. The honor recognizes student-athletes who combine academic excellence with high-level competitive success within the conference.
William Carey's Kristina Stojanovic was named the 2025 SSAC Women's Cross Country Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

All members of the Scholar-Athlete Team finished within the top 13 at the SSAC Championships, earning All-Conference honors. To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must be a sophomore or above academically and athletically, serve as starters or key contributors, maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.3, and compete in at least 50 percent of their team's competitions. Graduate students and transfers must complete one full semester at their institution to qualify.
