Caleb Chowbay

Caleb Chowbay is in his second season as the assistant coach at the University of Tennessee Southern and third season overall as a collegiate assistant.

In Chowbay’s first year as the assistant, the program has had its best record since 2016-2017, when Chowbay was a member of UT Southern’s Men’s Basketball team. Chowbay was a part of the program as a player from 2015-2017. In his time as a player, Chowbay was a third team All-American and helped lead the team to a National Tournament appearance. He also led the entire NAIA in free throw percentage (91.4%) during the 2016-2017 season. In the 2020-2021 season, Chowbay helped coach and develop 2 first team Mid-South Conference All-Conference players in Adarion Hudson and Darrin Jenkins.

Chowbay’s coaching career started at Independence High School under Coach Doug Keil in 2018-2019. In the 2019-2020 season, Chowbay was the assistant Coach at Warren Wilson College under Head Coach Dominique Boone. He played a tremendous role in coaching 2 EMAC All-Conference players in Jeremiah Daye and Brent Davis.

Chowbay is a native of Mt. Juliet, TN.
