Luke Moeller

Luke Moeller begins his first season as an assistant coach for the Firehawk men's basketball program in 2025–26, bringing with him a strong background in video analysis, player development, and high-level collegiate basketball operations.

Moeller joins the Firehawk family after spending the past three seasons at the University of South Florida, where he served most recently as Video Coordinator under the late Amir Abdur-Rahim. In that role, Moeller was responsible for opponent scouting edits, post-game breakdowns, daily practice film analysis, and the creation of analytical databases to support game planning and player development. Before his promotion, he served as a graduate assistant for two seasons—one under Abdur-Rahim and one under Brian Gregory, now the General Manager of the Phoenix Suns.

While at USF, Moeller was part of a historic 2023–24 campaign that saw the Bulls claim the American Athletic Comnference Regular Season Championship, make a run in the NIT Tournament, and post the winningest season in program history.

Before his time at USF, Moeller served as the head student manager for the University of Tennessee men’s basketball program from 2018–2022. During his tenure in Knoxville, the Volunteers made three NCAA Tournament appearances, reached the Sweet 16, and captured the 2022 SEC Tournament Championship.

A native of Vladivostok, Russia, Moeller was adopted as a baby and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee. He holds a Master's degree in Global Sustainability - Sustainable Business from USF and a Bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Tennessee.
