The University of Tennessee Southern

Maria Zimdars begins her fourth year with the University of Tennessee Southern women’s basketball program in 2024. 

Zimdars, a 2015 graduate of Dawson High School, began her collegiate playing career at Dawson Community College in 2016-17 where she averaged 9.2 ppg and 7.6 rpg. She transferred to the University of Mobile in 2017 was a Student Assistant for current UTS Head Coach Billy Evans. Zimdars finished her collegiate career in 2019-20 at UTS. Zimdars averaged 5.3 points per game in 2019-20 for the Firehawks.

She received an undergraduate degree in Behavioral Science with an Emphasis in General Psychology and a minor in Coaching. She also was a member of Chi Alpha Sigma.
