PULASKI, Tenn. – After a strong, undefeated start to the 2020-2021 season, Martin Methodist Men's Basketball head coach Dugan Lyne has been recognized as the HoopDirt.com National Coach of the Week.

Last Thursday, the RedHawks (5-0, 2-0 Mid-South Conference) pulled off a thrilling 79-76 victory versus perennial powerhouse Pikeville (Ky.).
A trio of RedHawks propelled the squad to victory, with senior guard Teddy Fifer notching a game-high 22 points. Fellow senior Darrin Jenkins added 21, while sophomore point guard Adarion Hudson finished with 17 on the night.
On Saturday, the RedHawks pulled off their biggest win of the season to date, stunning previously undefeated No. 15 University of Cumberlands (Ky.), 90-85.
Hudson was the star in Saturday's victory, pouring in 33 points while shooting 14-of-17 from the free-throw line. Jenkins flanked Hudson in the scoring column, adding 24 on the evening.
With the accolade, Lyne is now eligible to receive the HoopDirt.com National Coach of the Year Award presented by Just Play Solutions which will be announced at the conclusion of the 2020-21 college basketball season.
This is the sixth season that HoopDirt.com has run the Coach of the Week and Coach of the Year programs.
The RedHawks return to action this Thursday when they travel to Shawnee State (Ohio), in a makeup of a game that was postponed on its original date of Nov. 19.
