Huntsville, Ala. - The University of Tennessee Southern men's basketball team dropped their first game of the season on the road to Oakwood University 67-66.

UTS outshot the home team 49-45 percent, but turnovers were the backbreaker for the Firehawks. Oakwood outrebounded the visitors 33-26.

Adarion Hudson led all scorers with 14 points. Two other Firehawks reached double figures: Brady Brown had 13 and Mohamed ElGohary tallied in 10.

ElGohary controlled the blocks for the Firehawks ripping down 8 boards and recording 6 blocks.

The Firehawks will travel to Clarksville, Tenn. to face the Governors of Austin Peay. Tip-off is set for 7pm on November 9th.
