Brown Leads All Scorers with 17, Firehawks Smother Blue Raiders

PULASKI, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee Southern men's basketball team continued strong play going 2-0 on the weekend via a 76-50 win over Lindsey Wilson on Saturday.

Four Firehawks etched the scorebook with double figures in the game. Brady Brown led all scorers with 17 points and eight rebounds. Malik Tyson added 12 points. Tad Sivley posted his second double-double of the week scoring 12 points and corralling 10 boards. Kavion Hancock drained 10 points.

The Blue Raiders took the early lead but the 5-0 lead would be their only lead of the game. UTS would storm back, and hold a 26-point advantage at the break leading 41-15.

UTS would match LWC point for point in the second half to secure the 26-point win.

UTS would shoot 27 of 53 for 50% from the field. There would be one lead change and two ties.

NEXT UP

The Firehawks will travel to Lebanon, Tenn. for an MSC dance-off with Cumberland on Tuesday, November 22th. Tip-off is slated for 7:30 p.m.
