Owensboro, Ky. – The University of Tennessee Southern baseball team swept both Brescia and Lincoln College in a twin-bill today. UTS blasted the Bearcats 8-1 and bested the Lynx 10-3. Both games were hosted by Brescia.

UTS vs BRESCIA

• UTS blasted seven hits. Noah Junker led UTS with two hits. Michael Wurtz, Lance Pope, Blake Birdsong, and Will Clemons added a hit each.
• The Firehawks when down on strikes five times and drew six of walks.
• The Firehawks left nine runners on base.
• Pope crushed his fourth four-bagger of the year.
• Pope pitched a complete game. He allowed only one earned run on five hits. Pope fanned eight Bearcat batters improving his record to 1-1.

UTS VS LINCOLN

• The Firehawks lit up the Lynx winning 10-3.
• Stats were not provided by Brescia. No stats are available at this time.

NEXT UP

UTS will travel to Pikeville, Ky. for a three-game series on March 11-12. Friday the festivities will begin at 1 pm and Saturday at 11 am.
