Box Score 2 NORTH SIOUX CITY, S.D. – The University of Tennessee Southern volleyball team fell in straight sets (14-25, 18-25, 17-25) on Friday (Sept. 2) against #6 Jamestown.
The Firehawks went toe-to-toe with the Jimmies but were overpowered in straight sets.
Brianna Turner led with 11 kills on 29 swings. Laura Howell had a double-double effort with 21 assists and 10 digs for the Firehawks. Hailey Walker had 14 digs.
In match two, the Firehawks (3-7) dropped three straight sets to #16 College of Saint Mary (10-25, 14-25, 24-26). Just like match one of the day, the Firehawks fought and traded blows with the Flames. UTS came up just short of forcing a fourth set.
Turner led the Firehawks with nine kills. Howell gathered 14 helpers.
