Box Score MT. VERNON, Ga. – The University of Tennessee Southern men's basketball team survived cold shooting in the opening half, but the Barons rallied in the second half to force an extra five minutes. The Firehawks would hit all six attempts at the free-throw line in the extra period to stay perfect in league play. Three Firehawks reached double figures in the win. Kendall Wright led the Firehawks shooting 8 of 14 form the field totaling 21 points. Adarion Hudson tossed in 13 points with seven assists. Brady Brown scratched for 12 points and missed out on his second double-double performance of the season grabbing nine boards.
UT Southern (6-2, 2-0) led Brewton-Parker (4-5, 0-2) at the half 23-18 with both teams shooting below 30 percent. The Barons outrebounded the Firehawks 19-18.
In the final half, both teams would combine to shoot 50.8 percent from the field. BPC would go on a 6-0 run to end regulation with both teams level at 57. UT Southern would outscore the home team 10-8 including a pair of Hudson free-throws with nine seconds left to claim the UT Southern win.

UT Southern will return to the Curry Athletic Complex on Wednesday, November 22 for a matchup with Campbellsville-Harrodsburg. The matchup between the Pioneers and Firehawks is set to tip off at 4 p.m.
