MOBILE, Ala. – The University of Tennessee Southern volleyball team closed out the regular season with a 3-0 loss to Mobile on Friday.

UT Southern (14-14, 6-9) battled tough against the Rams, but Mobile (17-8, 9-5) would slither away to win a close first set. The Rams would take advantage of some Firehawks errors and sweep the next pair of sets.

Morgan Avrit would record 14 kills and 11 digs in a double-double performance. Laura Howell notched 18 assists, and Hailey Walker dug 10 Ram attacks.

NEXT UP

UT Southern will travel to Montgomery, Ala., next week for the Southern States Athletic Conference Championship. Championship play will begin with pool play on November 9.
