Five Firehawks Reach Double Figures, UT Southern Snuffs Out Stillman

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Tennessee Southern men's basketball team reached ninety points for the fourth time this season in a second half blow out win over Stillman on Wednesday. The Firehawks had five players reach double figures and shot a blistering 55 percent from the field. Kendall Wright led all scorers with 18 points. Malik Tyson tossed in 16, and Brady Brown added 15. Both Brown and Tyson would contribute three triples each. Tad Sivley would scratch 12, and Adarion Hudson would drop 11 points.

Stillman (4-3, 2-1) would lead most of the first half, but UT Southern (8-2, 3-0) battled back to hold a slight lead at the break of 41-37. The Firehawks smothered the Tigers on their offensive end holding them to 38 points in the final 20 minutes. UT Southern blew the roof off Birthright Hall shooting 20 of 32 from the field and connecting on five triples in the final half.

NEXT UP

UT Southern will return to the Curry Athletic Complex on Wednesday, December 7th, for a matchup with Life University. The matchup between the Runnin' Eagles and Firehawks is set to tip off at 7:30 p.m.
