NEW ORLEANS, La. – The University of Tennessee Southern volleyball team played their final road match of the regular season in Louisiana falling 3-0 to Loyola on Saturday.
UT Southern (7-13, 4-8) battled the WolfPack in close start with eight ties. The home team pieced together a 5-0 run to take the first set. In the second net, the Firehawks jumped out to an early 2-0 lead, but Loyola charged back. After trading the lead back and forth, UTS took back the lead at 16-15, LU once again cashed in a 5-0 run to take a 2-0 lead. In the final set, both teams battled back and forth trading the lead. With both sides tied at six, came alive via a 14-4 run to sweep the match.
