UT Southern Baseball Announces 2026 Schedule

Firehawks open season February 6 in Albertville

PULASKI, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee Southern baseball program has officially announced its 2026 schedule, which features a strong mix of home and road contests as the Firehawks prepare for another competitive year in the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC). This season marks the first under new head coach Braxton Morris, who will guide the program in his debut campaign as head mentor.

The Firehawks are slated to open their season on February 6 with a neutral-site matchup against Talladega in Albertville, Alabama, before returning to the same site for a doubleheader the following day. UT Southern will make its home debut on February 10 when it hosts Cumberland University at Bobby Walker Field.

Non-conference play continues with back-to-back series against Bethel University, traveling to McKenzie, Tennessee, on February 13 before returning home to face the Wildcats in a doubleheader on February 14. The Firehawks will also host Saint Francis (Ind.) for a three-game weekend series on February 21–22 to close out their early home stretch.

Conference action begins February 27–28 as the Firehawks hit the road to face Mobile in Alabama. UT Southern will later host several key SSAC opponents throughout the season, including Faulkner (March 6–7), Loyola (March 13–14), Point (March 27–28), Thomas (April 10–11), and Brewton-Parker (April 17–18).

Other notable matchups include a midweek home doubleheader against Lane College on March 17 and road series at Blue Mountain (March 20–21) and William Carey (April 3–4). The Firehawks will also make trips to UAH on March 3 and April 7, as well as to Cumberland (April 21) and ABAC in Tifton, Georgia, for a three-game series April 23–24 to close the regular season.

Postseason play begins April 29–May 2 with the Southern States Athletic Conference Tournament, which will be held at Rockabillys Stadium in Jackson, Tennessee. Teams advancing beyond that stage will compete in the NAIA Opening Round from May 11–14 at sites to be announced. The season will culminate with the NAIA World Series in Lewiston, Idaho, scheduled for May 22–30.

With a deep schedule and a fresh start under Coach Morris' leadership, the Firehawks are eager to take the field and build on the program's tradition of toughness, grit, and competitiveness. Fans can look forward to an exciting spring in Pulaski as a new chapter of UT Southern baseball begins.
