MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Southern States Athletic Conference announced the 2025–26 SSAC Men's Basketball Players of the Week for the period of Dec. 8–14, with UT Southern's Antonio Cochran earning SSAC Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Cochran, a junior guard/forward from Columbus, Ga., claimed the first weekly award of his career after delivering a standout performance for the Firehawks. He poured in a career-high 31 points in UT Southern's matchup against Faulkner, showcasing efficiency at all three levels. Cochran shot 65 percent from the field and connected on 56 percent of his attempts from beyond the arc, while also pulling down nine rebounds and adding two assists.
His offensive production was a driving force throughout the week, as he consistently pressured defenses with his ability to score in the paint and stretch the floor from deep. Cochran's performance marked one of the top individual scoring efforts in the conference this season and highlighted his continued growth as a key contributor for UT Southern.
