MOBILE, Ala. – The Southern States Athletic Conference released the 2025 SSAC men's tennis award winners Wednesday evening, with William Carey claiming four of the five individual honors.
Coach of the Year: Marc Lux, William Carey
Player of the Year: Islam Orynbassar, William Carey
Doubles Team of the Year: Islam Orynbassar / Ismoil Hayriddinov, William Carey
Freshman of the Year: Artur Ibragimov, William Carey
Newcomer of the Year: Dominik Simunovic, Middle Georgia State
Sportsmanship Award: Blue Mountain Christian
Lux guided the Crusaders to an unbeaten regular season in conference play to claim the SSAC Regular Season Championship. Orynbassar is ranked No. 12 in the ITA and went 6-0 in singles in conference play, while he and Hayriddinov posted a 5-1 conference record in doubles action and earned a No. 27 ranking.
